How I stay Motivated Even In These Uncertain Times
How do I stay motivated & positive to keep on track with my health goals, even when things get tough and feel so uncertain?
I’ve been at this for a long time and as a coach, I know how hard it feels when you’re just starting out on your fitness journey.
Motivation comes and goes at the best of times, which can make you fall off the wagon again & again, let alone when we keep having our world turned upside down by the uncertainty of a global pandemic.
I am hearing that a lot of you are feeling the same and struggling to stay motivated to keep on top of your health as well.
So, I want to share with you my failsafe tips to stay on track and keep positive, no matter what is happening around you. So that you can be the best version of yourself & not let the circumstances around you cause your health to get worse.
1️⃣ I choose healthy, unprocessed foods – the better nourished my body is, the better my brain can function to improve mood & reduce stress & anxiety.
Sugar and processed foods put toxins in our bodies that affect brain function and elevate stress.
2️⃣ I exercise even if I don’t feel like it – Because I know it improves my mood and keeps me feeling good in my body so that things happening in the world around me don’t seem as bad.
If I feel bad in my body, other bad things only feel worse. Exercise releases endorphins that make us feel happier, even in the worst of times.
3️⃣ I keep routine and simplify it – In uncertain times, we can only control what we can control – our own actions.
I live by my to-do list and make sure to have a consistent eating & exercise routine no matter what.
It gives me structure and helps me feel secure, knowing the things I need to get done are getting done.
I can stay productive and keep on top of my health.
Doing these things, even when I don’t feel ‘motivated’ to do them, is what actually gives me motivation because doing these things is what gets results and seeing results is what gives me motivation.
Our health is the most important thing we have, and we have complete control of the actions we take to make sure we are at our best.
If you are feeling unmotivated and flustered by the crazy, changing times we are in, use my tips here to give yourself the control you need to get your health back so that you can always be at your best no matter what!
