Banana Choc & Peanut Butter Slice

This is a recipe I created a few years ago and realised I never shared actually how to make it. Its so damn tasty, the topping is like mousse. And if you love chocolate, banana and peanut butter, this one will be your go to!

As with all of my recipes, this one is healthy, refined sugar free and quick – it can be made in 20 mins.

So give this one a try to have on had when you want to have a sweet treat but don’t want processed sugars and unhealthy fats in most sweet foods to ruin your fitness progress or make you boated.

HERE’S THE RECIPE:

BASE:
➡️ 2 cups oats
➡️ 1 cup pitted Medjool dates
➡️ 1/2 cup unrefined coconut oil
➡️ 1 tsp cinnamon

TOPPING:
➡️ 3 medium and ripe bananas
➡️ 1/4 cup cold filtered honey
➡️ 3/4 cup cacao powder
➡️ 1/2 cup unrefined coconut oil
➡️ 3/4 cup 100% peanut butter
➡️ Pinch salt

METHOD

BASE:
1️⃣ Place 1 cup oats, dates, coconut oil and cinnamon in a food processor and blend until a sticky, kind of doughy texture.
2️⃣ Press into a lined dish or baking tray to about 0.5 to 1cm thickness.

TOPPING:
3️⃣ Place bananas, honey, cacao, coconut oil, salt and peanut butter in food processor and blend until it becomes a thick, mousse like texture and all banana chunks are gone.
4️⃣ Spoon over base and spread evenly.
5️⃣ Place in fridge to set until firm to the touch.
6️⃣ Slice and enjoy!
